At the age of 12, he started a paper route, and for the next two years, sold more subscriptions than any other paper-carrier in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was such a sales whiz that the newspaper company, Lancaster Newspapers, Inc., had a ceremony in his honor, which included dinner with the Steinmans (the company’s owners) and the honorary starting of the printing presses.

At 18, Ed joined the Navy, serving his country in - where else? - the sales and supply department. After two years, two Mediterranean cruises and a tour of Europe, Ed left the service, went into banking for two years and finished his pre-real estate career with a one-year stint at the U.S. Post Office.

Ed’s next move was getting his real estate license. That was 42 years ago. Thirty-four years ago, he opened Wright Realty, and the rest is history.

Since then, Ed Wright has helped thousands of people buy their first homes and has, himself, bought and sold more than 500 properties in Lancaster County.
